KI Innovation´s policy for data protection 

KI Innovations handles personal data only for specific purposes e.g. to handle data relevant for the work we do with regards to innovations at KI and  in accordance with the guidelines given by Karolinska Institutet.

Approval of handling of personal data 

By contacting KI Innovations for support or by submitting an IDF, the applicant confirms the approval of handling of his/her personal data. 

Why is my personal data collected and handled? 

KI Innovations handles personal data only for specific purposes e.g. to be able to contact, inform and follow up on the collaborations between the researcher and the business coach, investor or consultant related to our work within innovations support at KI Innovations. We always act in accordance with the guidelines given by Karolinska Institutet. The personal data is collected and handled for the administration of contacts, communication and relevant statistics reports. 

For how long a time will my personal data be kept? 

Personal data is kept only for as long as it is needed to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. When a collaboration has ended, personal data is cleared out on a regular basis. Some of the data must be kept for a longer period for accounting purposes. 

Who will have access to my personal data after applying? 

Only KI Innovations staff has access to the personal data. The personal data is registered in a system that is protected from infringement. 

Your right as a collaborator with KI Innovations 

You have the right to ask for a transcript of the data that KI Innovations has registered about you, once per year, for no charge. To ask for a transcript, send a request signed in handwriting, by regular mail to KI Innovations. Our postal address is as follows: Berzelius väg 3 A, 171 65 Stockholm. 

GDPR at KI
