The annual conference is part of the strategic collaborative platform between Mayo Clinic and Karolinska Institutet on education, administration, research and innovation.
An annual research symposium began in 1994 between diabetes and metabolism investigators from the Mayo Clinic and the Karolinska Institutet. In 2011, Mayo Clinic and Karolinska Institutet signed an agreement that formalized and encouraged partnerships between the two institutions toward goals in research, education and innovation. More than 20 years later the annual reserach symposium is bigger than ever and the collaboration is in full bloom.
We are pleased to see that there is such a grate interest in innovation this year. ”This year’s Mayo-KI meeting is exceeding expectations with almost 80 registered for the innovation session. The innovation session program has been created in close collaboration with the innovation team at Karolinska University Hospital and focuses on how artificial intelligence can help solve problems in health care” says Dr. Lilian Wikström (CEO Karolinska Institutet Innovations AB)
The 2017 event will be in Stockholm on September 7-8, 2017 and is co-hosted by Karolinska Institutet and Karolinska University Hospital.
