UTILE färg

You (recently) have finished a health project funded by the European Commission, but are struggling to take your results further? Then the launch of our UTILE project may be of great help to you!

Indeed, we just launched UTILE (the EU-health innovation place, a valorization platform for (FP7 Health and H2020 SC1) research results), funded by the European Commission under the European H2020 Research and Innovation Program and coordinated by PNO CONSULTANTS.

UTILE will develop an online tool to carry forward the FP7 Health and Horizon2020 SC1 project results. This marketplace will actively bring together Innovation Providers and the Innovation Developers, combining technology push and market pull, and additionally will develop a value adding strategy ensuring 1) to facilitate and catalyse innovation to effective valorisation, 2) to develop a viable business case ensuring sustainability of this initiative. The main expected results of UTILE project will be:

  • The evaluation of all ended FP7 Health and H2020 SC1 projects
  • The online UTILE Marketplace
  • The innovation and support business strategy
  • Recommendation for the EC, within the health sector.

The UTILE Kick off Meeting was held in Brussels on the 23-24 January 2017. On the 23rd, the Project Officer, Mrs. Elsa Papadopoulou welcomed the project. Moreover, on the 24th we were invited to present the UTILE project directly at a management team of the European Commission, chaired by Mr. Philippe Cupers (Acting Head of Unit, Strategy, Health Directorate, DG RTD, European Commission), demonstrating the great EC interest in this project! As a result, now many Strategic Officers and Life Sciences & Health Project Officers of the EC are actively following and supporting our project.

-We look forward to be a part of the UTILE project and contribute to the translation of high quality research projects into products and services for benefit to the society, says Åsa Kallas, project manager at KI Innovations.
